Having started a precedent with Iain, I realise I should also have posted here when rrodway and dtkirk passed 2 million in BOINC overall, since Richard\'s credits are all in climate projects (BBC and CPDN) and the vast majority of Doug\'s are too (BBC, CPDN and SAP). Well done, guys! ;-)   BTW, the Scotland team forum is currently off-line - we think our fearless leader may have forgotten to renew his domain registration and he appears to be away just now. No doubt it will be back - meantime I would hope to see a few more of our team posting in the climate fora! ;-) Visit the Scotland team

Just reached a significant milestone on CPDN, my current task has just passed 50% completion after 494 hours 40 minutes. Task started crunching on 02 Sept 2008, so it should finish around the end of February 2009. This is my second CPDN task, but the first one crashed after 4 days. Keith. |

Just reached a significant milestone on CPDN, my current task has just passed 50% completion after 494 hours 40 minutes. Good feeling to hit the first one at more than 50%, etc. It\'s a long haul, but just think of the science you are helping. Great job! Keep them rolling.

I don\'t believe it! I have successfully completed my first CPDN Work Unit (of any variant) since I started back in 15/Nov/2004. hadsm3fub_k48k_005970279_1 It can only be due to having a newer computer where the Mean Time Between Failures of Windows is actually greater than the Mean Time To Complete a Work Unit. Good news. May there be many more completions. (Do you make regular boinc folder backups?) Thanks AstroWX, Unfortunately I\'m far too lazy - I like to Set It And Forget It as far as BOINC goes. Santa brought me two milestones for xmas. On xmas day Made it into top 15,000 in world (14,986) Made it into top 500 in Australia (498) RAC = 640 92475 credits in 226 days since joining = Average 409.18 Cr/day. Congrats to ALL who achieved milestones, posted or not. Bruce |

Just passed 100,000 CPDN Credits After some early problems, I have now successfully completed: hadsm3 models: 6 hadcm3 models: 1 Current RAC = 485 100,055 credits in 244 days since joining = Average 410.06 Cr/day. @kinhull: What was your previous mileage? ( 27 BSOD\'s per model? )....LOL.... |

I've finally made it into the top 1000 at CPDN and am very pleased because it's only two years and three months since I got my first computer built to crunch these models fairly fast and very reliably. So thanks to Astro who chose the mobo and CPU for me and to all the other members who told me what other parts would be compatible and why the components I'd selected myself wouldn't work. I did successfully choose the case! Cpdn news |
