I am running a sulphur dedicated on my laptop. it was at 54.5% done yesterday after 957 hours. I manually shutdown BOINC and started it (message to send up trickle went fine, and credit has showed on website). However, last night my notebook locked up I had to restart. received a message about bad exit and cpdn restarting. if happend again work unit might be bad.

when I checked the % it was back to 53.33%. I guess it restarted a previous checkpoint. (not sure why not at 54.17% trickle since I it sent that up and I got credit).

question is: will I get another credit at 54.17% again? am bummed since I have to redo 18 hours (18hours/trickle average).

curious....

Are you running from a backup (taken at 53.33%)?

Credits received for a certain trickle will not give credits on repass.

It is better to rerun 18 hours or so than rerun the whole 54%

You should not have to re run the whole trickle, it saves what it has done at every 288 TS\'s.

If CPDN is running when you turn the system off it is safer I found on one system to suspend CPDN first, than unsuspend when you restart.
