Hi, I just joined CPDN, I\'ve been wanting to for a while but I waited until Seti went to boinc version 4 so I could run them both. But now that I\'ve done it, I\'ve hit some problems.

First, CPDN has miscounted the number of computers I\'ve installed the project on, or rather, it\'s counted the same computer three times. Three seperate host ID\'s, but it\'s the same computer.

Second, it (BOINC) can\'t seem to download the actual program that will do the work. Here\'s the output:

That may be more info then needed, but I didn\'t want to leave out anything relevant. Please note that I\'ve been running seti just fine since it started using BOINC.

Can anyone help me sort this out?

I have seen this before with modem users, it seems to be that you are getting "timeouts" from one of the download servers so an incomplete (hence bad checksum) file is created. I'm not quite sure what the solution is right now, I could try bumping up the timeout on the Apache and hope that keeps the connection up longer?

I've restarted the servers with "KeepAlive=On" so hopefully that will help. I've also reset "max results" for all hosts today in case you want to try again.

I do have a modem, but it's a dsl modem, so I'm not sure why I'm getting timeouts. Oh well, that seems to have done the trick. I had boinc reset the project and all's well now. Merged the three duplicate hosts into one, that took care of that problem as well. Thanks for the help :)
