At present the two share time equally. How do I set CPDN to run twice as long as Seti? <img src="http://seti.mundayweb.com/stats.php?userID=287&trans=off"></img><br><img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=73&trans=off"></img><br><img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/seti2/stats.php?userID=1057&trans=off"></img> |

By default, share in the preferences for each project is set at 100. So you need to change the proportions - eg change CPDN to 200 or SETI to 50 (it doesn't matter which). Then update in the BOINC window. There will be quite a time lag, though, as BOINC will take into account work already done for each project. |

> Thanks - re: the time lag you mentioned, what do you mean exactly? BOINC takes resource debt into consideration. If you've been running a single project for a while, it could take a couple weeks to balance.\ <a href="http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=user_statistics&project=cpdn&userid=355"><img border="0" height="80" src="http://355.cpdn.sig.boinc.dk?188"></a> |

Thanks for the info. Actually, the behavour has changed with 4.x. The time lag should be less than a day, after it updates from the changed site. The 4.x client maintains a debt that is calculated near real time based on CPU usage and resource share. It should respond within 2 hours or so. jm7 |

What I've done is set Seti to use 50 percent of space and CPDN 100 percent. <img src="http://seti.mundayweb.com/stats.php?userID=287&trans=off"></img><br><img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=73&trans=off"></img><br><img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/seti2/stats.php?userID=1057&trans=off"></img> |

In the first 56 hours, CPDN got 24 hours which is less than the 70% expected in my case. jm7 |

To set the proportion of time there is a parameter in each of the applications (SETI and CPDN) that identifies the proportion of the total time available. It is ratiometric/proportional but is not a percentage. To make CPDN run for two hours then SETI for one the parameter in the CPDN preferences needs to be twice as big as the same parameter in SETI. The parameter is labeled "RESOURCE SHARE" |
