Is there a problem as I am missing two tickles from my result page. It says 92 howver I have done 94, todays and yesterdays tickles has not been shown. Can anyone explain what is going on?

The servers had a big overhaul, and are now way behind. It may take a day or two to catch up.
I\'m just glad that \"seasonal\" is on a different server. :)

How far behind are the servers? I haven\'t had any trickles recorded
since 19 April, but my Boinc manager shows plenty of trickle messages
being successfully sent.

It worked fine in the past for me, and my \"seasonal\" job is still
going fine (but from the above that is on a different server).

Oh, well. If they want more people to get involved, they need more space to store the data.

OK -- looks like the moving BOINC resource/reliability contraint has been moving around between the various projects. For quite a while, the SETI folks were up against that. They have recently been able to get a lot of donations of funds which seems to have put them in a position to resolve their constraints, then the problem seemed to moved over to Einstein for a short while. They seem to be back and stable these days, but the handoff has been to Climate (which seems to be both Climateprediction and ClimateBBC).

Oh well, I\'ve shifted my third project cycles over to World Community Grid for now and simply suspended Climate -- not a big deal.

And the space they need is on the servers -- found out why I was having problems with getting more work on other projects -- The Climateprediction project folder was enormous on my workstations (3G+ in some cases). Detaching resolved that problem.

The slab models took up about 660Megs on completion, the sulphur about 1Gig, and current TCMs only take about 600Megs while running, and none on completion.

So, 3Gigs means that you haven\'t removed the old folders, or that you\'ve pressed the \"record\" key in a TCM, which uses up masses of storage very quickly.

Well, I did neither -- removing old folders -- didn\'t know that I needed to manually maintenance. In any event, I\'ve detached on the workstations in my local farm and that seemed to clear up the disk space usage.

Regarding \'watch the boards\' -- there seem to have been some issues starting last week, and there were some \'patches\' to things here -- but I suspect until this coming work week, the complete fixes won\'t be quite in place.

My assumption (which is just that) is that as the problems which showed up last week didn\'t find their way to a \'bulletin\', that as more active folks check back and discuss matters on the message boards (though with not nearly the \'watching every moment angst\' that happens over in SETI) I\'ll see some report/discussion confirming that things are fully set right. When I see that sort of report, I figure it will both safe (in terms of the disk use issues I encountered) and productive (in terms of work being useful and counted) and then I\'ll rejoin on a batch of workstations. As it is, I\'ve got a total of 5 projects I\'ve connected to, it is just at this point, I\'ve pretty much detached the climate prediction and BBC climate projects where I can. So WorldGrid is now getting those cycles as my number three project -- though a long way behind Climate in terms of accumulated cycles.

It comes from the WU size I think, We don\'t often get 20plus WU\'s at a time lined up to report. Think of the credit if we could.... :)

On a side note, I wonder if it is possible to find out it trickle updates are being processed quicker than new trickles are coming in.
This is just an idle thought on my part not a request of the project staff. They are busy enough as it is without me bothering them.

the patches are in references to an error message running the 5.4.X \"beta\" versions of BOINC

in no way does it affect performance, its just annoying

yes the trickle server will catch up, CPDN has never been in the habit of shorting people on creits

There are also some trickles missing at my results. Personally I suspend network activity (but not my models of course) and do not let my trickles to be uploaded. I will wait until everything works fine (I\'m convinced it will!), and then let slowly (e.g. after an \'extra day\') trickle my models again. Perhaps this helps to reduce the amount of data the new server has to catch up... - And of course it doesn\'t help at all if I\'m the only one who does this...
