I\'ve been running CPDN in 6 systems steadily for some time. I\'ve also been tracking the RAC. The typical load for all of the systems has not changed more than 5%, but my RAC has dropped from 2433 on 10Mar06 to 1733 as of 29apr06. Along with that my team, PacificNorthwest, has dropped similarly. Both of these drops have had no explanation that I have seen. While it may make sense to change the credit calculation (I have no problem with that), please tell us when this is to happen. It isn\'t the changes that are the problem, it is the lack or warning *or* explanation that causes problems. Don\'t assume we can find explanations in these boards because I have tried. Searching for Credits yields 29 pages of hits. This is too much to plow thru in hope of an answer. Better communications is all I am asking for. |

The only thing that has changed recently, is the arrival of a new trickle server, and an extended shutdown to allow one of the servers to re-do a database. |

I\'ve also noticed this trend recently. My RAC has dropped about 300. |

The only thing that has changed recently, is the arrival of a new trickle server, and an extended shutdown to allow one of the servers to re-do a database. Does this imply that the drop is caused by no trickle calculations until the old server is back up? Or is it that the new trickle server is not doing calculations through some fault? |

There were problems last week with several things, and Carl was out of town. He got back in to town, fixed what he could on Friday, and now it\'s the weekend. Monday morning is 15-16 hours away. That\'s just when they start getting in. Give them some hour after to work on things. People need to understand these people do not work 24/7. |

There were problems last week with several things, and Carl was out of town. He got back in to town, fixed what he could on Friday, and now it\'s the weekend. Monday morning is 15-16 hours away. That\'s just when they start getting in. Give them some hour after to work on things. Thanks. This is what I mean when I request better communications. Just letting us know there is a problem and approximately when it will be worked on is great. When stuff goes wrong, even as things (apparently) unimportant as credits for CPDN number crunching, I always wonder what *I* am doing wrong, and when it continues without comment, it\'s easy to conclude that I did something wrong. When I can\'t find any problem at my end, it\'s pretty frustrating. I think the people involved in CPDN are well aware of human limitations, so we\'ll give the guys plenty of time to get credits up again. Again, thanks for the update. |

A lot of these things ARE discussed, but on the other board, which is where the main discussions take place. Messages here are mostly in response to questions from people, and the answers are passed on from the \'other place\'. Carl is far too over worked to go searching all the boards, and posting the same message everywhere. Sorry, just the modern, living-at-a-high-speed, life that affects everything these days. |
