Hi, Could you post the contents of the \'messages\' tab, cheers. There aren\'t any obvious problems showing against your results on the website. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Went into my account and reset preference ie updated them, sorry thought I lost the data but here one of then is 2006-06-02 05:48:47 [climateprediction.net] Task hadcm3lbm_3nql_05126874_0 exited with zero status but no \'finished\' file 2006-06-02 05:48:47 [climateprediction.net] If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. 2006-06-02 05:48:47 [---] Rescheduling CPU: application exited |

Alinator posted this in seti/number crunching: ***************** So what happened is the science app thought that BOINC had died so it exited (which it is designed to do). When BOINC restarted the app it saw that the status was zero, so it thought the result was done and looked for the output data file. Since in fact it wasn\'t done, it sent the log message and let the science app continue from the last checkpoint. HTH, Alinator **************** Claude |

As long as the \'zero status\' messages aren\'t happening too frequently then they\'re basically harmless. What\'s probably happening is that other processes are starting up at the same time as Boinc, and starving the client process of CPU power while they load up. This causes the manager to think the client has died, and you get the message. Here\'s a relevant link: Task exited with zero status but no \'finished\' file I'm a volunteer and my views are my own.
