Hey, Numb question!!! Easy solution I guess!! How do I get to show my BOINC Stats in my signature? As you can see, all you have here is a www link....clearly not the way to do it!! Lots of people have nice little graphics which depict their BOINC progress. How do you do this?? Neil. |

Go in the forum preferences and in the \"Signature for message boards\" box: Use [tag]http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_177287.gif[/tag] by replacing tag by img Arnaud |

Neil - go to Your Account page. Click on Message Board Preferences. Go to the bottom of that page then paste this :- http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_177287.gif (without the spaces) into the box. Then tick the box underneath. Click update. Job done! |

How does one find one\'s user number, i.e. user_nnnnn? I\'m using user_172125. As you can see, my attempt pulls someone else\'s statistics. |

UsedBits - here is where you find your user no. G\'day John, 172125 is his ID number for Climate, not for BOINC Stats, they issue their own so they can display the Combined Totals of all projects and not trip up over other project ID\'s. Hope that makes sense, I\'m a bit tired, next door neighbour\'s woken me up with noise. Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance on Climate Prediction |

Neil - go to Your Account page. Hi John, Many thanks. Like I said, I was sure it was going to be an easy solution!! Seems to have done the trick. Cheers, Neil. |

I tried attaching my stats to my signature, as you suggested, but I get the incorrect user info. I have gone to the BOINC stats link, but cannot find my user ID anywhere. Use of 19380 gives the stats for Nickmat (?) Any help would be appreciated. |

The 19380is your Climate UID: edit: You just beat me ;-) Andrew Wood Joined: Sep 19, 2004 Posts: 16 ID: 19380 Credit: 138,485 RAC: 86 You need to look up your UID from BOINC Stats or Mondayweb and use that one. There are two Andrew Wood\'s: This one and this one. Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance on Climate Prediction |

Mike and Spydermb, many thanks for your help on that. I just tried changing my user name to differentiate myself, but my stats just remained as Andrew Wood, so I changed it back to avoid causing confusion. I\'ts strange as there is only one Andrew Wood listed in the Participant profiles - me!. Could the other entries relate to my processing? |

Because I\'m flaming brilliant! I also looked here http://www.boincstats.com/ and did a search by your User ID. You also appear to be in two teams both called \"Knights who say Ni\". It may be a BOINC Stats thing but it could be worth having a chat with your team founder. Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance on Climate Prediction |

Andrew, It takes a couple of days for some changes to propogate across the stats boards. You\'ll also want to change it in each project for consistency and it helps the different stats sites. It is almost a must to use the same e-mail address on each project and stats site. If you change teams, that\'s done at a project level so it needs to be done on all projects. For folks who don\'t want to have to read through the whole thread and make guesses, here are the (hopefully) complete instructions. 1) Get your BOINC user ID. 1a) Go to boincstats.com and type your user name in the search box, click \"Search\". 1b) When results return, at the top you\'ll see a line labeled \"BOINC Combined\". At the right, there\'s a small graph icon. Hover your mouse over it and the tooltip is \"Detailed stats\". Look at the bottom of your browser, and you\'ll see something like this: http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php?pr=bo&id=789231 The number after \"id=\" is your BOINC user ID. 2) Set your signature. 2a) Go to Your Account page. 2b) Click on Message Board Preferences. 2c) Go to the bottom of that page then paste this http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_yourID.gif (without the spaces) into the box, substituting your BOINC user ID for yourID above. Click \"Update\". |
