Somehow I ended up with two different cross-project IDs, one for this project and one for two other projects (rosetta & einstein).

Is there any way to change the cross-project ID on this account to match that on the other two? I don\'t have any work units pending.

In order to get them to match you must do at least 2 projects on each machine for a couple of days. Example, you have Einstein and Rosetta on one machine, the other needs on of these two with CPDN. This is the only way to get them to match, once matched, you can run a single project on a machine, again.

It should take 48 hours or less, but if a site is having issues (like CPDN is currently with the trickle server), it may take a few extra days.

They didn\'t match initially since I used a different email (for CPDN, which was the first project I ran -- on the same machine where I\'m now running the other two projects). So, since I changed my email on CPDN, if I just run a WU, my cross-platform user IDs should synchronize automatically?

Sorry, don\'t want to ask redundant, but it\'s also applying to me:

Some weeks ago I started SAP on my laptop, where also CPDN is crunching. Unfortunately I also used a wrong mail-adress at registering to SAP, so now I\'ve got 2 CPIDs. I corrected my mailadr. at SAP. If I understood correctly, I should get back to my \"original\" CPID just by letting both (CPDN and SAP) trickle at my laptop. Is this right?

I have 2 (actually 3) other machines, one is dedicated to R@H, other one mostly to CPDN (sometimes R@H); Does it help if they are also communicating to their projects (to get a unique CPID for all of my projects)? - Due to network problems (new flat - new provider) it may take some time until they are online, therefore I ask...

(BTW: I experienced connection problems to SAP recently, now it\'s o.k. There was nothing on their boards, so I ask if perhaps someone has had the same problems...)

Yes, SAP was down for a few hours this morning, and also a day or so a couple of days ago. Very unusual, their previous downtime was a couple of hours in April...

If you \'update\' each project you are attached to, then repeat the next day, that should be sufficient. Note that this only works properly if you have PCs in common between the projects:

i.e., PC 1 connected to project A, B and C, and
PC 2 connected to C, D, and E, it\'ll work fine. But if you have:

PC 1 connected to A and B, and
PC 2 connected to C and D, it won\'t work, since there is no common PC.

Well, I have
PC1, project A,B (down at the moment, network problems)
PC2, project B
PC3, project A,C (this is my laptop, C is SAP)
PC4, project B (sometimes)

So I guess, I should be just patient... ;-)

Anyway, cool stuff that it is possible to change CPID at all (I didn\'t know this).

While the first PC is still off the network, you\'ll probably end up with two CPIDs, one for project B, and one for projects A and C.

When PC1 is back online the two CPIDs will coalese into one.
