Well, about 7% into a WU, something locked up on Vista beta, and though I terminated it (memory wasn\'t relinquished), went to do a logoff to free the lost/non-recovered memory. All well with that? Wrong, BOINC tried to run every single fricken WU that it was scheduled to run, and trashed it\'s entire queue, rather then recognize the OS\'s message about a shut down, with a request that all processes terminate. I wish the BOINC developers would fix that one, and STOP TRYING TO START NEW WORK UNITS after a system shutdown or logoff was initiated. System shutdown means DO NOT schedule anymore processes to run, cause the system is requesting everything to self terminate. Edit: Vista\'s info on the business with BOINC\'s manager: Problem signature |

Hi, If you could document this at the boinc development forum (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_forum.php?id=2), that would be great. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |
