Message 23757 - Posted: 26 Jul 2006, 0:56:00 UTC

I have been getting this message for some time, but trickle up messages seem to work. I thought that detaching from the project and reattaching would cause the loss of the current project. Now I notice that I have received no credits since June 30. Is this the problem mentioned in other threads about the system being backlogged OR???? If I am not going to get any credits it is time for another project. Any answers?

The latest version of BOINC 5.4.9, has stricter url acceptence, because of the Account Manager facility, which now only has one url for the cpdn project.
If you\'re only crunching a climate project, the url that you\'re using will be OK. You\'ll just keep getting the message.

Yes, detaching WILL kill your current model.

Thyme Lawn has written a small program to change all of the affected parts, if you wish to try this, but make a backup first, just in case.

Credits will ALWAYS be granted, even if sometimes a little late. This will be within 24 hours of a trickle being received. (The program only runs once a day.)

30 June is a long time back. Is your model still trickling?
You can tell by
1) A message in the Messages tab each time it does
2) The accumulation of trickle_up files in the folder of the model if they aren\'t being sent.

Yes, as stated in the first sentence, trickle up messages have been sent on a regular basis. This system is used only in the spring and summer as I am a \"snowbird\" I do not take it with me when I go South in the late fall. Therefore there not enough time to complete another project before I leave. Thanks for the quick response.
