Hi all, I\'ve just upgraded my PC to an Intel 950D dual-core (2 x 3.4GHz with 2Mb L2 cache on each core). I am confused by my CPU benchmarks though. Specifically for the CPU, if I run SiSoft Sandra, I get benchmarks that are comparable to other, similar CPUs with a Dhrystone score of around 15200 MIPS. However, in BOIN, if I run the CPU Benchmark facility there, it only shows around 1600 MIPS. How can that be, that they are out by a factor of ten? Regards, Neil. |

The boinc benchmark is rubbish, and is ignored by this project. (Also note that you can\'t directly compare MIPS figures since different benchmarks have different definitions). I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |
