I am running BOINC on a Dual-Xeon (= 4 CPU). I used to take part in Seti@Home and Rosetta@home. I recently joined Climaprediction. Before that, 2 CPU were working on two Seti-Workunits and the other 2 CPU were working on two Rosetta-Workunits (resulting in 4x 25% load = 100%). But now, with the third project, BOINC is running only one at a time at a total of 25% CPU load. All the other projects are suspended. Why is that? Every project has a value of 100 resulting in 33,33% CPU time (BOINC says so). What can I do? I\'m not glad with the situation at hand... Thanks for advice ydrive313 |

Are there no messages in the Messages tab that explain it? It could just be because climate models take a couple of thousand hours each, and BOINC is giving cpdn the same amount of time as was previously given to your other projects. Or at least for a while. It\'s a clever, complex, program, and usually sorts things out in the long term. Meaning over several weeks, not a few hours. When you signed up with CPDN, it may have set your General Preferences to only one processor. You might want to check this. Link to General Preference. Look at the \"On multiprocessors, use at most\" option. |

I changed it from 1 to 4 CPU, now it\'s working. Thank you. |
