Hi there,
Just joined and downloaded some tasks and have a few questions.

I amended my usage preferences on the website and updated from the Boinc manager but this does not seem have changed the CPU use as shown in task manager.

What state should the Boinc manager be left in to allow the task to continue, minimized, closed with task bar icon or ?

If you have to turn off PC is it ok just to shut down normally or should you close down Boinc manager seperately.

Thanks

On a few machines, Windows kills the boinc process when it shuts down. I think this happens when there are other programmes which are shutting down, and the whole process takes 20 seconds or more. Right-clicking on the icon and \'exit\' just before a shutdown will eliminate this risk.

The CPU usage parameter is only for Boinc version 5.6.x or higher, but note that 5.4.11 is the current \'public\' release. 5.8.x is in beta testing at the moment.

Normally I\'d leave Boinc running in the system tray, rather than minimised (i.e., click the \'X\' on the upper-right of the manager window).
