Hi, I signed up recently and have no technical problems to report- wahey! However, I\'d like to speed things up by running just one task instead of two. In the BOINC -> Projects tab it shows one project (climateprediction.net) but in the BOINC -> Tasks there are two entries (hadcm3ohe...). If I suspend one another one just downloads and starts. So how do I run just one and would it help the project team to finish one task sooner or two tasks later? I gather the BOINC \'to completion\' estimates are a bit dubious but I\'ve got 3000 hrs to finish both -its a bit unlikely to happen inside a year. |

Set \"No new work\" in the Projects tab. That will stop new downloads. (Henceforth, it would be better to use the Suspend in \"Activity\", at the top of the Manager\'s page.) Look here for much valuable information for running CPDN; the Read Me entries represent a lot of experience: Stickies/Announcements/News: http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewforum.php?f=36 Welcome to the Project! You have four Models. After you\'ve set \'no new work\', you can abort three of them if you want, in the Tasks tab. (They should eventually be returned to the pool.) Your P4 will run a single Model at about 80-85% of the throughput of running a pair, although Task Manager will show 50%.
