I recently had a piece end prematurely in error (which has happened before) but no new pieces have downloaded to take its place.

Is there no more work to be done, or have I reached a limit of too many \'client error\' returns and the project isn\'t going to send me any more data ?

I haven\'t changed any settings that I can recall ...

4 of the file servers are down at the moment. This may be the problem.
(Click on Server stats in the blue menu to the left.)

Even the server stats are down at the moment:
can\'t read ../cache/cf/server_status.php; lastmod

Some time ago at SETI we discussed the need for a status page for the server status page.... ;-)

You have crashed enough results to only allow you to download one a day.

There are a few questions you could answer that may help us figure out why you do not get work.

What does the message say in your messages area when trying to contact CPDN?
Under your computer online, what are the \"% of time BOINC client is running\", \"While BOINC running, % of time work is allowed\", \"Average CPU efficiency\", and \"Result duration correction factor\"?

I am trying to view why you are crashing, as it seems like the servers are having issues at this moment. What is the error of the crashes? It\'d be best to find out why you crash and stop it from happening.

The Runs crashed with -107... errors.

Mike\'s post suggests ways to avoid crashes (Solutions to models crashing: -161 error, or -1073741819 (0xc0000005)):

The servers look OK at the moment so I\'ve grabbed some info off them. The most recent model crashed on the 23rd March, so presumably there\'s something in the firewall setup preventing another model from downloading (just guessing).

The error log is here:

Engaging BOINC Windows Runtime Debugger...

So it looks like something interfered with reading files from the disk, and as a result it crashed. Is the software installed on the local hard disk, or perhaps on a network share or a USB stick? Was anything else happening at the same time on the PC?

The version of the Boinc manager is 5.2.13, which is getting a little long in the tooth now, but I\'m not aware of any serious problems with it. Could still be worth updating it to 5.8.15 (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php).
