Does anyone know what the matter is and how I can fix it? I\'m running BOINC 4.8.16 with 3 tasks from CPDN: hadcm3lb 5.08 hadcm3 5.15 hadcm3i 5.40 |

4/18/2007 12:19:56 PM|climateprediction.net|[file_xfer] Started download of file sulphur_um_4.22_windows_intelx86.zip I should add that it\'s 3 files that can\'t be downloaded: sulphur_data... sulphur_um... sulphur_se... The messages above are for sulphur_um... but the others look about the same. |

Abort the downloads, they will stop asking. When upgrading to some of the newer versions this happens. It\'s a legacy bit that is not quite cleaned up correctly, so BOINC thinks it needs more items that it does. Once you abort the transfer, the messages should stop. |

I\'m not sure if aborting the download will fix the problem in the long term. I had the same dowload error ages ago after I manually deleted the sulphur* files from my projects/climateprediction.net directory thinking they weren\'t needed any more. I checked client_state.xml and found that sulphur was still a registered application, so I stopped BOINC and manually deleted the relevant <app>, <file_info> and <app_version> sections. That\'s not something I\'d advise doing without being clear about the structure of the file, taking a full backup of your BOINC directory first and taking great care with the edit. If you accidentally delete an <app> section which has work in progress all the underlying sections will be automatically deleted when you restart BOINC and the tasks will error out. I discovered that one when I got too complacent with the editing on one system! "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

I\'m not sure if aborting the download will fix the problem in the long term. I have upgraded a couple versions since this happened, and I aborted the downloads. I have had no issues, and I did not change the XML files. |
