Hi My model was trying to trickle when these messages were received: 03/06/2007 18:00:41|climateprediction.net|Deferring communication for 1 min 0 sec The upload server phkup is down at the moment,is this in someway related? Crashed in 1956,have a backup from 1941 but is it worth the re run. Thanks Chris. |

Hi, There\'s nothing showing up on the website yet. Do you happen to have a backup of this model prior to the crash? I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Very odd. I\'d guess one of the model\'s data files got corrupted somehow? I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Yes, very similar - the only difference I can see was that TylerChris\'s was in 1956, while yours was in 1948: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6508535
I\'ll PM tolu to see if he has any ideas on this particular error message. Do you happen to have a backup prior to the crash? I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Hi all, I\'ve encountered the same thing: Hi SW The model has reported the error to the server and removed itself from the task list. Interesting that it comes from the same Batch hadcm3inct,maybe a group of dodgy models out there, where the parameters won\'t allow completion. The good news is they are crashing early. Chris. |

Models from the 7th May batch always seem to show \'error code 22\' on them when they finish, but end at different points, and often with different text on the result page. So I think the problem is that \'error code 22\' hides the real error, rather than error code 22 actually stopping the model. If there\'s a batch of models WITHIN the May 7th batch which share an iffy forcing file causing these \'missing data\' problems, I don\'t know, but in that case it seems odd they\'re stopping at different dates rather than the same date. Here\'s a May 7th model which is still running (model year 1966): http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6517560 I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. Thanks for the reply Mike. Think it is a case of \'Time will tell\' on this one. Is there a chance please of including the the phrase\'Missing Data In Ocean UV Field\'in the title of the thread to draw others with similar errors here. Computation error is a bit generalised. Thanks Chris. Edit In case I\'m confusing things, mine was created on the 15th May. |

... I\'ve got so used to seeing Code 22 and assuming it was a May 7th model that I didn\'t actually notice the actual date... I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Here\'s another code 22 result - it did originate on May 7, and it crashed several times, but has recovered from backups fine and is still running: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6514449 I thought it was my PC or me messing up, and I posted on the BOINC CPDN in the crash thread about it, but I hadn\'t seen this thread. I\'ll keep on truckin\' unless anyone knows if the actual model has problems and should be aborted... |

Your error code 22 is different from the others in the thread: CPDN process is not running, exiting, bRetVal = 1, checkPID=0, selfPID=2996, iMonCtr=1 I\'d guess that it was due to CPU starvation for 15 minutes or more, but note the word \'guess\' :-) Glad the restore worked, congratulations on keeping a backup :-) I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. Same song, different verse. Had the Error 22. Restored a two-day-old Backup and reran; two days later, the Run bombed at the same place with the same error. Year 2019. These crashes seem to be happening at different points throughout the year with different models (I had wondered if it was always stopping at the same point). http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6448575 I\'d sent a PM to Tolu asking him to glance at this thread, but I\'d forgotten he was away. Hi, I had a similar problem too with a model created in April. It kept erroring at the same point in time until it died. Unfortunately, restoring from backup does not help. I reset permissions to 755 -R and chown -R me. It appears to be looking for a missing file. Hi Marmot The messages about the missing zip files from _1 to _16 just mean that the model didn\'t crunch long enough to produce and upload these model files. The problem is something else. I\'ve done (yet another) web search for this error code and have looked at what\'s there in English, German and Italian. Many of the links lead back to cpdn, and nobody anywhere else seems to have the slightest idea. Three of your recent models have crashed with this 22 error: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=687899 I\'m going to ask one of the programmers to look at this thread. It would look like there\'s a bad batch of coupled model param sets; I\'ll tell the Oxford guys to take a look at it. |
