Jim, I can\'t see any recent trickles for any model on you server web pages. Which model are you crunching?

I am running the HadCM3 coupled model experiement 5.15. The program sends a trikles every dec. 4 and the server acknowledges the messages.

Hi Mo, remember this other thread where JIM posted about not appearing in his team stats?

Best regards,

Jim

I suspect that you\'ve signed up twice, and are now crunching under a different user account to the one from which you\'re posting.
\"PUDDIN TAME\" perhaps? Although BOINCstats says that this account name isn\'t currently getting credits.

Hi Les, this is Jim, aka, PUDDIN TAME. The problem my be that I am registered twice. Could it have anything to do with the fact that I was running XP when I downloaded the WU, but have since upgraded to Vista?
Is it really that important as long as the program is running normally and sending trickles. My most recent trickle message is displayed below:

6/14/2007 3:49:19 AM|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request: To send trickle-up message
6/14/2007 3:49:19 AM|climateprediction.net|(not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks)
6/14/2007 3:49:24 AM|climateprediction.net|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 509]

I don’t really care about the credits as long as the model will upload the results properly at the end.

Nothing to do with Vista, unless you re-registered.
The only difficulty will be if you ask us about a problem, in which case we will have problems answering you because we can\'t see your model\'s page, which has info that\'s needed.
It will also affect your team stats.

The credits are an acknowledgment of the work done by participants, but have no direct use. That\'s not to say that they aren\'t indirectly useful: for example, if they stop being allocated then there\'s something wrong with the server, the model or the communications - that might help alert you to have a look about. They can also be used for comparison: is a particular PC producing the same amount of work as a similar PC? would an upgrade make a difference? etc. etc. They also give an idea of the experience a participant has and that could help when phrasing a post or such like. And, of course, if you\'re a competitive type then they\'re the fuel that drives you on!
