Hi, after a long spell doing the BBC version of the Climate Prediction Model I decided to rejoin this project. However, having done so, and repeatedly requested the download of a new model, all I get is \"not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks\". I don\'t know where I\'m going wrong as theres over a gigabyte of hard drive set aside for it. Can anyone explain how to go about correcting this anomally. Many thanks. |

Hi, Is \'no more work\' set against the project? (the first tab of the Boinc manager). Are there any other messages appearing in the messages tab? I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

It is impossible (impractical) to request a new model manually, all you can do is request communication with the project. If CPDN has been attached but suspended or set to \'no new work\' while you were running the BBC version it will most likely not have enough LTD built up to download a new model. Those options prevent (reduce) changes in LTD due to inactivity. So all the debt from your last model still needs to be paid back before you will get a new model. Hi, thanks for taking the time. No, I haven\'t inadvertantly set it up for \'no more work\' and the only messages I get are; 18/06/2007 00:58:40|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 18/06/2007 00:58:40|climateprediction.net|Reason: Requested by user 18/06/2007 00:58:40|climateprediction.net|(not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks) 18/06/2007 00:58:45|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request succeeded I request new work every time I download workunits for Seti or Proteins@home but as yet only get the above messages. Thanks for your help. All the best. |

It could be a \'debt\' issue - the project may have been run in preference to your other projects before, and they\'re being given extra time now in order to balance this out. If that\'s the case, it\'ll eventually correct itself. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

With what URL did you reattach? The climateapps2... entry looks suspicious.
