I am so happy - after 4300 hrs I have just completed a model (believe it was an ocean). 8/14/2007 5:27:14 PM|climateprediction.net|Computation for task hadcm3ohc_182r_05605482_1 finished It\'s been a while since I\'ve had one run the whole way through. Wendy |

A coupled ocean 160-year model, so well done! We now have a choice of models on our project preferences page. Do you regularly back up the contents of your boinc folder? This is the way to be much more sure of getting models to completion. More details in the project READMEs - see my signature. Cpdn news |

Congrats web03. Running the long models can be frustrating at times, but there also is considerable satisfaction in finishing one. |

Yes, I had my fingers crossed for a few days to see if it really would complete. I\'m just happy to be able to contribute to this project. Mo - I\'ve read the readmes about doing backups. However, I never got around to doing one on this model. That\'s why I was so happy it completed. Have a great day! Wendy P.S. I was looking at my computer stats and noticed that my DCF is above 1 (I think when I looked at it the other day it was 1.4 and now it\'s down to 1.2). I guess this will correct over time? I\'m just used to seeing on other projects I run that my DCF is general 1 or lower. |

I am so happy - after 4300 hrs I have just completed a model (believe it was an ocean). Congradulations \'web03\', it is a great feeling when one completes. It is also a great frustration when they don\'t. I have one computer that has 10 Work units credited to it but it has only completed one 160 year model and two 45 year models, all the rest died (two of them show as still running but I lost them in Feburary). |

Back them up, Conan! Your compatriot Les Bayliss wrote the post describing the easy manual method, but the READMEs offer more sophisticated methods too. See my sig. Cpdn news |

I am so happy - after 4300 hrs I have just completed a model (believe it was an ocean). Congrats Wendy! I have been crunching for awhile at SETI. If you get a 12 hour crunch there, it\'s a good one. Here I\'m only 4.7% and 109 hours into my first. |
