Accounts can\'t be deleted, nor can old / obsolete / now non-existant computers be deleted from a user\'s list. From my debuging experience - also if could, maybe at least Barbud\'s account 199935 should be kept, until the reason for his duplicated credit will be found and eliminated? (In order not to happen again on (thousands of) someone else\'s duplicated account.) Peter |

From my debuging experience - also if could, maybe at least Barbud\'s account 199935 should be kept, until the reason for his duplicated credit will be found and eliminated? (In order not to happen again on (thousands of) someone else\'s duplicated account.) That is one of the reasons behind this thread, \"To find what out what/how/why this happening.\" Nothing against these wonderous volunteer moderators but I think someone from the admin side should look into how these accounts are tied together at the server. By going thru the websites I have not found anything that ties them except maybe a couple of things, but as mentioned before these items should not be the connecting items. - Email address (everything is the same except the domain name) - Password is the same - User name (all were the same before the delete me was added) - Team is the same - Host CPID is the same (one host has always been in contact with all accounts except for the first account after the login was forgotten) - IP addresses are all the same. External IP is the same for most of my hosts. Only the internal IP address is differant because of the home network. |

Although... do the Boinc servers know such term? I\'ve heard that it is stats sites specific? I suppose the user CPIDs differ, don\'t they? Peter |

Problem \'passed upstairs\'. |

I\'d bet on host CPIDs. Although... do the Boinc servers know such term? I\'ve heard that it is stats sites specific? User CPID is differant between all of the accounts. That is how I found this problem. BoincStats kept trying to put the older account as my main one and causing it to not count any of my CPDN credits into my overall credits. I think I have that problem fixed for now. Host CPID is recognized by the server. Hence the problems with merging older hosts on a project website. Been there, done that. Problem \'passed upstairs\'. Thanks, hopefully an answer will present itself at the servers. Please share any and all information that is found so that we the volunteers (mods & crunchers) will know what happened and be able to share that knowledge across the BOINC continuum. |
