well, not exactly boiling but i\'ve been running 3 coupled models and 1 slab model (Q6600) and on all four models the only portion of the world with ice/snow is greenland (i\'m 70 hours in). my question is whether or not i should abort the models or not. thanks for your time! |

Far too many people want to abort models just because they don\'t like the look of it\'s graph. Please resist this urge as strongly as possible. The point of this project is to find out what happens to a model, when given different starting conditions. If people keep aborting them, the researchers are left guessing about what might have happened. They may even have to re-issue the model to find out. Backups: Here |

thank you for your quick response. i wasn\'t sure how realistic the researchers wanted their results. with my model being in the year 1928 and with no ice/snow i knew it wasn\'t realistic, but if this is acceptable for the purpose of the project then i will keep going. i just didn\'t want to waste my cpu cycles. again, thanks for your quick reply. |

Hi ARobs I\'ve looked at the graphs for all four models and they look fine to me. Pretty average so far. I wonder whether you could be misinterpreting some aspect of the graphics globe display? Cpdn news |

it is very possible that i may be misinterpreting the model, but i just find it odd that while in \'cloud mode\' antarctica has grass and there are no polar ice caps....but greenland is covered in white. as stated previously though, i will keep crunching. |

Hi ARobs, you might be interested in this thread in the Scottish forum, where RRodway described his extremely hot model and then posted photographs of it. ;-) Good luck with yours! Visit the Scotland team |

And keep in mind that these are not real worlds, they are \"what if ...\". All models should be run until they finish, or they crash. |
