This model seems to be like one of those mentioned in this thread.
I have not edited client_state.xml. I did upgrade the BOINC client and then went back to an older version
all were 5.10.x.
The .zip files for 2010 and 2020 are
hadcm3istd_cq6v_1920_160_15915002_6_9.zip
hadcm3istd_cq6v_1920_160_15915002_6_10.zip

Unfortunately only 8 zip files are described in the <file info> stanzas of client_state.xml for this model. The other model running on this dual-core has all 16 <file info> stanzas in client_state.xml

The questions are -- is it worth running the model for another 5 weeks to the end? Is there any way to upload the decadal zip files?

Eric

Edited to correct the link to the model

Hi Erik,

There was a batch of 160-year workunits generated which only upload the first eight zips. We asked the project administrators about this, and the advice we got is that there is enough information already present in the HadCM3 trickles so that this isn\'t a big issue (HadCM3 is unique among the climate models available in that the trickles contain the year\'s climate data), so as a result they want us to continue running the affected models.

Yes, we discovered this not long ago.
I\'m afraid this was a mistake in generating on 160 workunits.
This was caused by using the same template for both 80 & 160 year wu whilst generating the workunits.
This probably only affected one batch. But its still a lot of results affected.
...
You\'re absolutely right, the trickles will still get uploaded.
Its just the actual zip uploads themselves that won\'t.
The trickles are probably the most useful data now and the most looked at so far. So all is not lost.

I\'ll ask if there is a place the zips can be uploaded to, but it may be simpler just to rely on the trickle data.

PS Do you prefer Erik or Eirik?

I\'ve been advised that it\'s not strictly necessary, but people can upload ZIP files to http://cpdn.comlab.ox.ac.uk/data_node/ if they wish.
