My computer lost power, and when it restarted, bonic started to download a new work unit, and the result now shows as \'client error\' on my account\'s webpage.

I\'m new to this project, and so it was only a few hours worth of work, but isn\'t there a checkpointing mechanism for climateprediction, similar to the other boinc projects? Or is this expected behaviour?

I\'m using boinc 4.05 on linux, FWIW

Bradley,

There is a checkpointing mechanism but it doesn't seem to be 100% effective unless the shutdown was an orderly one. I have lost workunits as a result of forced resets and killing user sessions under Windows XP home.

IMHO the best system to run CPDN on is either one that you are the sole user of or one that runs unattended most of the time.
