For some time now, I have been running 2 CP tasks on my MacBook Pro Intel Duo Core. I kept installing the latest version of BOINC and was running 6.2.14, but just recently I noticed that only one task was running and the other waiting to run. Further inspection showed that my Mac registered as 1 cpu in BOINC. I have reverted to BOINC 5.10.45 and hey presto --- both tasks are running again and my Mac is registered as having 2 cpus. Any explanation would be appreciated.

Also, I noted that my RAC took a dive a little while ago, and am wondering if the RAC will recover now that I have switched back to 5.10.45.

Check your global preferences. The \'Use at most\' CPU preference has changed in BOINC V6 (from a fixed number of CPUs to the percentage of available CPUs).

And yes, your RAC should start climbing again.
