Hi ! Last year my hard disk crashed. I was running 2 ClimatePrediction workunits, which were at 70% and 40%, so I thought I lost them. But last week I found an old backup of BOINC with the 2 workunits. Unfortunately, their deadline were about february 08. Can I after all finish these workunits (even if I may not get credit), or is it useless ? Because I had already lots of credit for the calculated parts, and I don\'t want to have credit for WUs I didn\'t finish. Thanks in advance. PS: Sorry for my english, but I\'m Swiss (French speaking). Michaël |

Bonjour Michaël (et bonjour àtous nos participants suisses!) Good news for you and the researchers - yes you can. Here are the tasks http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=465947 CPDN ignores the deadline (I think it\'s the only project where the servers ignore it). You will get credits if you can continue these models and they\'ll be added to the database for the researchers. Milo (one of the programmers) is making all our models available for free use by climate scientists world-wide, so the models could possibly be used by other research groups too. I\'ve looked at the workunits that both models belong to. You were the only person who received a model from each workunit, so they will be very useful indeed. If the backups had been several years old I would have said no, but HADCM models are still being distributed so there\'s no problem. Congratulations on backing your models up! (The workunit pages say \'Too many total results\'. Ignore that as it\'s irrelevant to CPDN. I think your model pages will continue to say \'No reply\' but ignore that too; your trickles and decadal uploads will be accepted.) Cpdn news |

Bonjour mo.v ! (vous parlez aussi français ? :-) ) Thank you for your (fast !) answer ! Apparently, my WUs seems to work properly, as you said. Perfect ! Thanks again ! Michaël |
