Hi,
yesterday my task was nearly 1.5% completed and after checking it today I had only 0.82. What could be the reason for that?

I would also like to know how I can change the high priority status of the climateprediction tasks so the other tasks have a chance to run...

I would appreciate any help!

Your computers are hidden, so I cannot give advice. But they are not hidden in SETI and SIMAP. Why?

It usually happens after a boinc restart but should be temporary. That is what happens to me.

After exiting from BOINC, models should only go back to the last checkpoint and for HADCMs the checkpoints are every 6 days. So I\'m not sure that a BOINC exit can explain why the model went back from nearly 1.5% progress to 0.82.

I think your 80-year model must be version 6.04. You can check this in its name in the BOINC Manager Tasks tab. In the project News thread at the top of this forum Number Crunching section you\'ll see a report on HADCM versions 6.02 to 6.04. It mentions how when you exit from BOINC, these versions of the HADCM models show 33% less progress when you restart BOINC. But the progress % corrects itself after about 2 minutes. These models progress normally.

But a reduction from nearly 1.5% to 0.82 isn\'t exactly 33%. And the model can\'t be looping because the biggest possible loop is back to the beginning of the model year (1 December) which would be a progress reduction to 1.25%.

Can you tell us please

* Did you notice the % progress reduction after you had restarted BOINC?

* What is the % progress now?

* Have you seen any BOINC Manager messages about errors or problems? If you see any bad BOINC messages now, could you please copy them for us.
