This is my first post and I\'m not sure whether I\'m in the right forum to make this enquiry. Please make allowances as I don\'t really understand how things work here, but I do have every intention to keep taking part usefully in the Project.

Hadam3p_m642_1963_2_006040116_2 downloaded yesterday and since then, the task state has been showing this message: Waiting for memory (or probably \'awaiting for memory\'. I cannot tell really, as my manager is in SPANISH).

I\'d like to know if this is a \'normal\' message or if it means there\'s something wrong with the new task and therefore it\'s not working.

I give you this information in case it helps:

Starting BOINC client version 6.4.7 for windows_intelx86
Log flags: task, file_xfer, sched_ops
Libraries: libcurl/7.19.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8j zlib/1.2.3
Running under account Administrador
Processor: 1 AuthenticAMD AMD Sempron(tm) Processor LE-1620 [x86 Family 15 Model 95 Stepping 3]
Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 3dnow mmx
OS: Microsoft Windows XP: Professional x86 Editon, Service Pack 3, (05.01.2600.00)
Memory: 895.23 MB physical, 2.12 GB virtual
Disk: 78.14 GB total, 57.37 GB free

By the way, I consider this project one of the most important things one can take part in. Proud to be part of. Greetings.

Under the Your Account link on the left, check out the \"Computing preferences\" link. There\'s a \"Disk and memory usage\" section under that, and the last two settings relate to how much memory boinc and its project applications can use. I cannot remember what the defaults for those were, but try increasing the percentages to something like 60 and 70, or 70 and 80. Since you don\'t have a lot of memory on that PC, you probably wouldn\'t want to go any higher than that.

I\'ve just noticed Aeon\'s avatar - no tanning between 11am and 6pm. In summer Uruguay must be two hours ahead of the time by the sun and probably one hour ahead in winter.

That\'s true mo.v (during the daylight saving period, which coincides with maximum UV radiation indices season, occurring between October and March, though \'hot\' sun may last till early May).
