I just got a message on the BOINC manager that there is a new version of Boinc, 6.4.7. Have they worked the bugs out of 6.4 yet? Are you still recommending that people running ClimatePrediction stick with 6.2.19?

The 6.4.x series is no longer being worked on (it\'s still buggy as far as I know), and the 6.6.x series is currently still being tested. If you don\'t need the CUDA capability of the 6.4/6.6 clients, then 6.2.19 is probably still your best bet.

It\'s true they\'ve stopped working on 6.4 versions. I believe 6.6 is next major release. I didn\'t know 6.4.5 was buggy? It works fine for me on Fedora x86_64.

Graphics for CPDN work too.

The 6.4 versions now seem to be working fine. There were so many work fetch problems with them during alpha testing that we didn\'t want to recommend upgrading to them earlier.

However, I agree with Michael that members who haven\'t got a CUDA graphics card that they want to use for crunching (other projects) have no need to upgrade beyond 6.2.19.

I think all CPDN graphics should work on all platforms with all BOINC 6 versions.

However, there are two reports here about HadSM models not showing their graphics in Linux. Anyone with comments on that topic should please post about it there, not here.
