See this thread for a brief explanation of why pending credits are not relevant to cpdn. Total credits are based on the number of trickles returned times the credits/trickle (varies by model type), and are recalculated, hopefully, once per week. |

Well. NO CREDIT, NO CPDN. I will terminate and remove the project from ALL my computers. See how this trickle works for it! |

Incorrect interpretation. CPDN does not use 'Pending Credit' in its calculations. Credit is awarded when Trickles are received. Credit remains for work done even if the task errors. The current credit update failure is related to a new procedure to speed the process. It will be resolved. Meanwhile Trickles are being received and credit will be posted daily when program bugs are eliminated. Good for credit :) Any explanation for why there are so many pending tasks? (I have 850+ pending WUs) |

"Pending" is yet another BOINC function not used by this project. Once a zip file has left the person's computer and gone to a server "somewhere on the planet", (the researchers are all over the world), it's never heard from again by any part of BOINC. So "Pending validation", and "Pending credit", are useless functions. It's easier to leave them there than to keep removing all of their parts each time there's an upgrade. |
