i was running ver 4.07 with windows xp service pack 1 and it had a cpdn unit and a bunch of s@h units on it. then i tried to use 4.08 and it didnt recognize my other units and loaded another cpdn unit and tried to get a bunch of S@H ones. it also became non responsive when ever you clicked a tab and it also started slowing down my computer horrendously. i degraded but in this case it was more of an upgrade to 4.07 again. i still have to get new wus though. is there anyway to get it to recognise the old wus since they are still on the machine in the projects folder. i had about 40 hrs into my cpdn unit.

Your client_state.xml has been corrupted before the installation of BOINC 4.08 (e.g. at the shutdown of BOINC 4.07). BOINC 4.08 is running fine on my laptop.

Not really possible.

This is why you don't upgrade until the BOINC/project leader folks tell you to. Unless you happen to be an Alpha Tester for BOINC, and if that's the case then it should be expected to have problems.

Hi, I've installed the new version and I recommend to update, because it runs more stabel! I think everybody knows that Alphameans a risk.

plus all the work units are not being recognized again
