My user average just dropped from almost 8,000 to just under 3,000 like, instantly. My teams rank just went from ~170 to ~220.

What changed?

The RAC associated with hadam3p had been unrealistically inflated since it was released in March. The total credits for each hadam3p model was and is correct, but the RAC was being incorrectly calculated. The RAC should now be correct and will now be very close to the actual average credits per day.

An official announcement - RAC modifications - has now been posted in the project news, if you need to reassure your team members that it\'s all above board.

I read that actual credits will not be affected but as I had a deduction of 60,741 shown at, say, BOINCstats... Yet, at my account, it shows over 184K which seems to include the missing 60K + what I was credited in the last day.

Was this an 1-time statistics-export anomaly or does this mean there will be an eventual credit deduction to realign to the correct credit amount?

My thanks for your reply.

My guess is that it\'s a one-time anomaly, not connected with the RAC adjustment.

BOINCstats has updated within the last hour, but the figures it\'s showing are the state of play as at around 13:30 today, which is round about the time that Milo was working on the problem: maybe his manual run interrupted or generally messed up the scheduled dump. For my account, it\'s showing the correct total, but the old, high, RAC.

I suggest you don\'t worry about it now, but keep a close eye on tomorrow\'s figures to see if they sort themselves out. Please post again to let us know how it turns out.

Not worried, just amused and curious.

In the scheme of things, what\'s a few hundred thousand or million credits here or there. It\'s not like I can use them to buy electricity or shelter or food.

If it doesn\'t correct after the next reporting period I shall post the problem otherwise...

Thanks for the reply.

I\'ve lost 55,776 credits yesterday on BoincStats. Was it because of Hadam3p?

Tullio,

Your credit in our database is 126339.485609617, although it is shown as a lower figure in the stats export. I\'ve explained the reason in the sticky thread, as mentioned.

This problem should be fixed next time the stats export is run.

Thanks, Milo. I was just surprised in seeing the diagrams. Maybe BOINCstats could do the same trick to the Earth\'s mean temperature diagrams...
