Dear Douglas Harms You need to install the 32-bit compatibility libraries Doug. See this post. Post back when you\'ve done this and work download will be re-enabled for your computer. "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

Cory, From the stderr output on the results webpages for the crashed models, it appears that you need to install 32bit compatibility libraries on your 64 bit linux. A readme at the top of the Linux forum has more info. http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=6746 Post back when you\'ve done this and work download will be re-enabled for your computer. |

Hi Krambock Apologies that no-one has replied before now. The problem computer is here. All its tasks, whether HadAM3P or HadSM, are crashing immediately with the messages: <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> Which Antivirus does this computer have please? Could not launch model process. Last Error=193 indicates an invalid application. Please check whether your antivirus has quarantined any of the CPDN programs. Post back to tell us because there are other possible causes. Cpdn news |

Members must post back here to say that they have fixed the problem or tried to fix it. Milo can then allow your computer to download models again and we can see whether your fix works. You can post as many times as you want. Cpdn news |

Thanks for the reply. I\'ll install the 32-bit compatible libraries as soon as I can. (We had a power outage on Friday and it fried the server I need for that system. Hopefully it will be accessible today!) As soon as I get this done I\'ll let you know. Thanks! --Doug Dear Douglas Harms |

Just got an email re failure \"Your computer (host # 989345) described below appears to have a misconfigured BOINC installation and is crashing models. Would you please have a look at it?\" By the looks on the thread here sometimes antivirus might be the issue. Have set bionic as trusted program now and so it is not monitored by av(Kaspersky IS 2010). Have also detached and reattached climate prediction on bionic and rebooted. Anything else I need to do? Thanks, Chris |

Hi Chris Looking at a few of the failed models on your account page, the error is: CreateProcess() failed - Access is denied. (In stderr out) This is most likely a permissions problem with the BOINC folders. Backups: Here |

Hi Chris To give you a better idea of what\'s been happening to your recent models: Here\'s the computer\'s CPDN web page. Here\'s the most recent page of its model list. Here\'s a sample model. Click on stderr out to see the model\'s messages. I\'m glad you\'ve posted because that looks like a really nice computer. By the way, a lot of people who have received the same misconfiguration email as you have unfortunately not yet posted. In the Boinc FAQs Jorden has posted advice about your specific error here. I don\'t think your problem is related to your Boinc installation. You currently appear to have Boinc 6.6.36. You had the same version when you successfully ran this model back in Dec - Jan so your Boinc looks fine. Something else must have changed on your computer after you ran that model. In fact, look at this page in your models list. There was a period from Oct - start Feb when the computer had no problems. But before and after that you get the same errors. Please check on the other possibilities mentioned by Les and the FAQ then post back. Cpdn news |

I\'ve allowed 1 result per day to your machine so that we can see if that\'s worked. |

I am wondering if the problem I have is more based on me not shutting down boinc before I shut down my computer. At the beginning, I used to leave my system on for days at a time and so it had a lot of free processing time tostart and finish jobs. These days it might be on for a few hours idle each week. Could me not shutting down boinc first be the issue? |

No That can\'t be the issue because I\'ve always done that. Interesting to note I have SETI on BOINC as well and have no issues with them. What makes climateprediction different? Had an issue with a download of a new task same error as before. I reset the project and got a new job and now it is running. We\'ll see if it submits in the future. Thanks for the prompt responses Milo |
