EDIT:

I'm working on a fix for this problem as my top priority. There's enough information now so you don't need to reply to this thread. Credits should return to normal once the fix is complete, which I expect to take at least 24 hours.

Thanks for your patience!

I lost some, two days ago I was at 319444 credits by BoincStats amd Boinc Synergy. Have been earning about 1500/day on beta so I should be around 325 thousand. Now the site says 316,351. A loss of about 9,000 credits.

EDIT
BoincStats was just updated, new figures there.

316,351.00
Comprising 319,444.39 from the daily update
+ -3,093.39 since then

And the credits from 2 days ago were never added there.
Keep on crunching Pizza@Home

I also lost a significant nr of points.
Ths is what boincstats is telling me now

3,120,514.62
Comprising 4,705,286.09 from the daily update
+ -1,584,771.46 since then

Until the outage boincstats and climate prediction always give the same information.

OK, it looks as if there is clearly a problem.

We had credit problems around this time last year when we had to do a database archive. I'm investigating now to see if the same thing has occurred. If so, then there will be further outages over the next day or so whilst I deal with it.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

This has happened before as Milo says, but does eventually get resolved !

I'll be restoring some data from backups as soon as I've copied it over. This should allow me to determine what's gone missing and to fix as necessary.

Have a look at the "Total Credit, last months" graphs of myself and Doc.Brown.

Although the totals are similar, Doc.Brown is a relatively new contributor and seems unaffected by the loss of credit.

Thanks - that would fit the hypothesis that it's a problem with missing results in the archive, which is the problem we've seen before.

Looks like I lost about 20.000 credits this is my user total credit from yesterday's backup of the client_state.xml file for the project CPDN:

<user_total_credit>101577.168882</user_total_credit>

My credit on the CPDN web site and various statistics sites has dropped to 82,093. The drop in credits is registered on my stats at between 15:00 - 16:00 today.

.... "Matilda, she take me money and run Venezuela!" ... I think Matty's got a little confused lately and mistook Boinc credits for Big Bucks... ;)

Compared to yesterday's total I've lost >50,000 points. Glad to know this is an anomaly and not some kind of Puritan recalculation aimed at the sinful among us.
