Message 40581 - Posted: 3 Sep 2010, 19:15:14 UTC - in response to Message 40580.

I've also lost more than 60.000 Points!!!

Will it help you, if we stop all activity so you must not wait 5 minutes for a query result?

Or is there a chance to get the lost points back?

Best regards from Austria/Europa
Walter Hammerschmid

Calm down, you will get you points back. This same problem occurred last year and after a few days everyone got their points (i.e. credits or cobblestones) back.

Don't worry about it - the problem is only because MySQL can be rather slow and we've got some pretty big tables.
I've left the connection to the database running so that users can still access this board, but there shouldn't be any BOINC clients connecting.

Database reloading complete - I'm turning the daemons back on again.
Fingers crossed!

Thanks again for all your hard work. :)

What you do today you will have to live with tonight

I agree with Stealth Eagle --things look good so far from here in California. I'll be watching my hosts to make sure trickles upload OK. Take the rest of the week off, Milo :)
Best wishes:)

Thanks Milo. Great work!

Though I'm still missing approximately 2 days worth of credits and RAC, it's small compared to some other guys. At least, no loss on the models, trickles work fine, though still pending now and then, hopefully because of too may connections.

Everything seems to be going well here in New York. Just uploaded 6 famous zip files with no trouble.

MacDitch

I noticed that, and passed it on. There's bound to be some fine tuning needed next week.

It looks as though the database, which exists as a lot of separate files, has grown too big for the current program. The project may have to talk to NASA, and/or some of the big observatories to see what they're using.

Message 40594 - Posted: 4 Sep 2010, 7:59:46 UTC - in response to Message 40583.

After having lost 120,359 credits on 1th September, today I got 122,440.50 credits restored without crunching for CPDN for at least four month. The yield of 2000 points is good for three days missing part of my credits :)

Seems to have worked fine, and will have a new best best-day in my stats :D
The cliff from my last post will change to a deep valley this evening UTC.

Keep on the good work!

My credit total on the Team USA stats that had lost 190,000+ credits is now back were it should be. Three cheers for Tulu and Milo.

A restore is still running - hopefully it will have finished by tomorrow morning and I'll be able to get to work trying to fix the mess.

Apologies again for the huge delays trying to get this data restored.

I may be imagining it but mine appears to have been restored already.

I seem to be about 3k points deficient compared to BOINC Manager. Any ideas?
