After having lost 120,359 credits on 1th September, today I got 122,440.50 credits restored without crunching for CPDN for at least four month. The yield of 2000 points is good for three days missing part of my credits :)

Same here.... my credits before the crash were 101,577.71 and now they are 105,740.71 a net gain of 4,163.54 and I wasn't crunching CPDN for more or less the same period. Mind you I'm not complaining.... ;-)

I seem to be about 3k points deficient compared to BOINC Manager. Any ideas?

What are the numbers you're seeing?

You're currently shown as having 79,028 credits here. BOINCstats currently shows you as having:

  • 74,499 on 31st August
  • 71,035 on 1st September
  • 75,260 on 4th September
  • 78,132.36 now (Comprising 75,260.37 from the daily update + 2,871.99 since then)

(Those credits are from the previous day's credit run.)

So you've gained 4,529 credits (79,028 - 74,499) during the problem period.

During that time you've completed 1 HadSM3 task (3 trickles, so that's 298 credits added) and been running 2 FAMOUS tasks (4262 credits total, but one of the trickles was before the outage so we can knock 31 off for that). Adding those numbers up matches the 4,529 you've gained.

Maybe it's just too early, but none of my trickles from yesterday or this morning are yet showing here (I've since suspended network activity)

Also, I happened to notice that one of my team-mates, dtkirk, who hasn't been crunching for a while, seems to have lost some 400,000 credits this week! See http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php?pr=bo&id=579502

All in order now, thanks Milo! ;-)

Looks like my credits were restored between 2010-09-04 and 2010-09-03. Thanks everyone for working hard on this.

Credits seem to have been returned to normal; hard to say if there were any small glitches.

At the time the backup was in progress, I did have a small communications problem with Boinc Manager and CPDN. I had a report that a task that had been aborted was already reported at an earlier time and I have one task [famous] that is showing up on my list at CPDN, but has never been visible on my Boinc Manager on my computer. I only mention this because this "extra" task will likely sit on my list for months before it times out and I can't do anything about it at my end. So just FYI.

Billy, that's a phantom task which won't affect your credits at all. It will sit there in your Tasks list until old ones are cleared out again. Which I hope will not be any time soon.
