Can someone please tell my why I keep getting 'comp error' on WUs that are just about to finish out? WUID-6848921 (Famous) Comp-938862. I think this WU had less than 10 hrs to go to completion with 326hrs done. This is the 3rd WU that has failed to finish. I would like to actually finish a WU in my life time. :) TIA

Hi Sorceress,

The record for that FAMOUS model is here. Pressing the '+' button next to Stderr reveals the log the model submitted when the model finished: it's a busy one, with lots of entries reporting problems reading files.

The place to start is probably your virus checker, if you have one. Make sure that the BOINC folders are excluded from scanning. It may be that the model isn't able to get at its files because the virus checker is intervening.

If that makes no difference then post back - we'll get to the bottom of it eventually.

Ok, I added my BOINC folders to the Nortons scan exclusions. It hasnt been a problems with any of my other WUs so I didnt exclude it.Se we will see. Thanks for the advice.
