RAC is a decaying function, and isn't a very good indicator of how different models are getting on. Too many things affect it.
e.g. Recently, the credits were being calculated every 2 days, because of the now massive load on the servers when it's run. I'm not sure if this is still the case.

I'm afraid that, for the longer models at least, self motivation is the only way.
Giving extra credit will only encourage credit chasers, a lot of whom will probably have over clocked computers. As is well know, over clocking leads to erroneous calculations in climate models, due to the uncertainty of what the instantaneous weather should be.

Why the heck is there no graphic showing on these models?

They'll be along later. There hasn't been time to write the graphs program yet.

And you know about this?

Would feel better to have an answer from a project scientist

I asked Milo, and that's what he said. He's the last of the 2 programmers on the project, and he leaves for his new job at the end of this month.
So you'll just have to wait until the new people arrive.

Heh, found out that you can follow the models on results.cpdn.org with curves and all parameters.

Nice :-)

I am getting download errors on this new batch of Hadcm3L models. I saw a post in News thread about some problem with these models but apparently it has not yet been fixed.

Same for me: checksum errors on one or more of the HADCM3 data packages. But I did also get two intact HADCM3 models several days ago.

It looks like there's still a problem with these models.
Please de-select them in your preferences and only run hadam3p models until this is sorted out.

Apparently it was a problem with the mirrored servers.
It should now be OK.
