Hi Roland, From your computer listing I see it's got 250MB memory and is running XP Home. The OS is likely to have a memory footprint of around 50MB, with CPDN under BOINC using about the same (more if you run up the visualisation). Something is eating up memory on the system. Run up task manager to find out the culprit. BTW, Windows out of the box has always had dynamic sizing of the paging file, but I've always found it runs much better with a fixed size (System Properties - Advanced - Performance Options - Change. Set the initial size to the same as the maximum and reboot the system). Join us here |

perhaps the disk space is getting tight so there is no room for the paging file to grow? |

> perhaps the disk space is getting tight so there is no room for the paging > file to grow? > Windows allows the user to set a maximum for the size of the paging file. If yo have the disk space, try setting this value to something larger than it currently is. |
