Hi Not sure who to advise or which forum I should put this in. One of the WU's currently being worked on by my PC is running a little late. Task 13335402 Name hadcm3n_o26h_1900_40_007439282_1 At present there are 230 hours left to run. When I started it the remaining time was 612 hours. Done 202 hours on the WU. So calculate this WU will be finished about 2 days late or shortly thereafter. Its due date is the 6th Dec. Will this cause any problems? NO problems with reporting late. the BOINC software requires a date things have to be completed by but this is not used by CPDN, the date only being put in to keep BOINC happy. It is good if the Rapit models are completed quickly as those that are, then get used to generate the next phase of the experiment. However even those completed after the deadline shown by BOINC provide useful data. Dave |

Excellent. At least the data won't be wasted. When I wrote in here yesterday there were 230 remaining to complete the model. Today 24 hrs later there are 195 hours remaining. So the model is being completed at the rate of 35 hrs per day. Which means this one will be completed on 9th December or 3 days late. I'm sorry I miscalculated how long there was left on the WU when I helped out on another project challenge. The art of flying is throwing yourself at the ground and missing. |
