Hi, after a week with server trouble today the first credit comes to stats-sites. But all the credit made during the server trouble wasn't count up !? |

I have noticed that some of the stats pages only get updated once a week, presumably when the script that updates them is run. - On my own stats, the total credit seems to go up on my account page reasonably quickly but the total on my team page only gets updated once a week, not sure if it is Friday or Saturday in my case. They got a update today... but only for the credit made after the trouble... How ever... we can wait some more days and will see what happened. |

The missing credits is related to the problems with the mirroring server, as mentioned in a recent News post. The project people are going to re-sync the servers before Christmas, but in the meantime they have real work to do. :) And I haven't had any stats update for 3 weeks. Backups: Here |

...Just thought I'd chime in about the credit lag...don't know if it has been addressed by the project folks yet, but the issue continues on my end, FWIW...somewhere in the 5,000-10,000 range depending on the day... ...best wishes to all for a healthy and safe holiday season!... :) |

Does anyone know why the stats page is not being available. When I attempt to access a unit trickle page the content never downloads. I am not able to monitor the progress of different machines (host ID) that I don't have access to everyday. |

Does anyone know why the stats page is not being available. When I attempt to access a unit trickle page the content never downloads. I am not able to monitor the progress of different machines (host ID) that I don't have access to everyday. It used to be the case that the page would show in Firefox or other browsers but would take a long time in Internet Explorer. The cause of that particular problem is well known but somehow has never been corrected. (Or has perhaps been overtaken by the new defect!) This new problem, however, has an apparently different cause. It has been reported to the project team together with a probable location in the downloading page. However, that happened relatively recently and I don't think it has even made its way into the pile let alone to the top of the pile. I'll bump the relevant thread on the other message board. |

Hi Iain, Would you kindly post a link to that "relevant thread on the other message board" to which you refer? It'll help keep the issue from getting too scattershot across the forums... :) |

Associated thread duly bumped. (It's an internal thread used to investigate and co-ordinate matters arising and possible solutions, so is not generally visible. If the problem is fixed or a work-around developed then one of the moderators will post back here.) |

If you're having a problem with credits on the external stats sites, then complain to them. Backups: Here |

Me credits show up on all the external credit sites just fine. There is still a problem with the RAC (recent average credits) for hadcm3n being locally miscomputed (like me doing 12,000 per day since last year and RAC here shows only 5500. For me that is not a problem. might get fixed someday. Who cares. The totals show up correctly on the external credit sites for me. [edit fix typo |

Very strange. The last time I received credit on the external sites was 3 December 2011. All external sites have the same position for me so I would think it is not of their making. Since no new HADCM models are available, is it possible that HADCM credits are no longer being exported? Warped |

ALL credit on this project is by converting trickle_up files. If no trickles are returned, then no credit is given. As far as I know, based on the models that I have/am running, credit IS being created and exported. I completed my last hadcm3 a few weeks ago, and have run hadam3p since then. As you have chosen to hide your computers, there's no way to see when was the last time that you returned data to the project. If you would like to provide evidence to support your apparent statement that there's a problem with the project, it will be considered, otherwise it will be assumed that the problem is at your end. Hi Les If you look at the BoincStats in my signature (below), you will note that they show 729736 as opposed to the 748175 under my name on the left. I note that Chris has a similar discrepancy. All the other stats sites reflect the same credit total (actually 729736.89). Here's a link to one of the stats pages: http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=cpdn&id=17104 Observe the last date of credit being awarded. And another: http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=bcpdn&name=17104 The two tasks I have been working on since 3 December are: http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=13630841 and http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=13630839 Warped |

Here's a link to one of the stats pages: ... and here's a link to my BOINCstats page, which shows updates until yesterday. So if it is a project problem then it isn't a failure to generate the export files and it doesn't affect everyone. There could, of course, be some error in the exported data, in which case we need to identify whether those affected have some common characteristics. |

otherwise it will be assumed that the problem is at your end. rare that i have no problem with other projects... it's all time CPDN.... If i tell my problem here there is no answer of a phrase like above. I'll become tired from the support on this, otherwise very good, project. I decide to ask no new WU until the credit is not reported correctly to the stats sites. The only thing we get for our CPU time is credit, we don't ask more... we only ask to report the credit to the stats sites. |

There could, of course, be some error in the exported data, in which case we need to identify whether those affected have some common characteristics. My point exactly. Hence the suggestion that it may be related to the HADCM tasks after the issue we had before: http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=7340 |

There could, of course, be some error in the exported data, in which case we need to identify whether those affected have some common characteristics. The spikes in my BOINCstats record are HADCM3N, which I run mostly off-line, so HADCM3N evidently does make it into the export files. If any missing/invisible credits are only HADCM3N then that would be something interesting to report to the project - i.e. "some people, only HADCM3N". All that's going on here is the usual process of differential diagnosis: is it X? no, then is it Y? no, then is it Z? Someone has to come up with ideas for what X, Y and Z might be and then test them. For example, I found a credit anomaly when merging hosts that was unambiguously a project problem and reported it to them: it's now being investigated. I don't think we're at that point yet with this problem. There isn't much chance of something being done by the project unless we can ask them a well defined question (i.e. to which the answer cannot be "ask BOINC", "ask BOINCstats etc."). |
