Hi guys,

I thought, BOINC is a platform where you can share your computer with one account for several projects? I have already an account at Seti, but I can not use it for the Climatic-Project. Does anybody know why? What do I have to do to run both projects with one account id? Or isn\'t that possible?

Cross-project ID was ment to be the one common for BOINC project but - AFAIR - some problems occured - like need to common database etc...
Perhaps it will be possible in near future.

Until then, i suggest to have the same nick under BOINC projects

You need a separate account for each project that you join as each project is completely intependent.

The CPID is negotiated between the project ant the hosts, and is not specific to any one, but it can change any time that you join a project. The CPID is only for the use of the multi project stats pages. Have a look at http://www.boincstats.com/ or http://www.boinc.dk/. The CPID will be different on the project servers and the multi project stats pages as the CPID is hashed with the users email address to generate the CPID that is sent to the multi project stats sites.

You need an ACCT for each project.......
