Hi,
since a few day I am crunching with a new 4 core chip. Everything is going well, but since then in the Boinc Manager the Elapsed Time colum has disapeared. Is this normal? or did I something wrong?

Thanks for any help

Which version of Boinc Manager are you running?

I am using 6.10.58 but I have read that in your version you must click some other tab (maybe advanced?) to see the elapsed time and this has caused some protests.

I've checked on BOINC 6.12.23 on my Solaris Virtual Machine. See Tasks/Properties.

Yes, by clicking on an application, then under Properties I can find for this application the elapsed time and the remaining time, but not in the colum of all applications. :(

Welcome to the future. :)
And it's going to get even more "interesting" when the new, totally redesigned & rewritten, version 7 of BOINC is released. :) :) :)

I have been using 7.0.14 for a while now. It has a column for elapsed time. Major difference for me is having to click on advanced > Event log to get to messages about what has been going on. In discussions a couple of people have said they like it because it opens the messages in a separate window which is precisely why others don't like it. Doesn't bother me a lot either way now I am used to it.

I think they are modifying BOINC in order to care for the people using GPUs, especially in SETI@home and Einstein@home or Milkyway@home .For us, CPU users, it means only trouble.
