A few days ago I had a power failure and had to restart my 2 Mac's.

One machine was fine, BOINC restarting with no problems.
On the the other (Computer Id :- 1142892) I got a message asking for a reinstall of BOINC. I use 6.10.58.

After reinstalling 6.10.58, all tasks fail. Most after running for a few seconds but some with other error messages.

Should I try :-

1. Another simple reinstall

2. Should I delete all BOINC Data in the library files first before a reinstall

3. Anything else??

This looks like an example of the Mac permissions problem, where BOINC is installed on top of an existing set of folders (discussed here).

Here is a line from a HADCM3N crash on that machine:

execl(/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data/projects/climateprediction.net/hadcm3n_um_6.07_i686-apple-darwin, 138825) failed!

The advice is to reset the CPDN project on a re-install. My practice on Mac is to go one further and remove the project from BOINC Manager and then re-attach: that ensures that new copies of everything will be downloaded when the next work fetch is made.
