Currently uploads are failing because the server disk(s) is/are full. Just an FYI |

2 days ago someone notified them that the server was out of space...they seem to take a long time to act on a problem. Meanwhile BOINC is polling on hundreds of machines with updates from all over the place and getting nowhere. Peter Toronto, Canada |

Yes indeed. One of my machines has finished all 4 of it's models, and there's a lot of files that won't upload. As there's no more work at present, I've shut down BOINC and turned off the computer. Backups: Here |

Perhaps someone back at the ranch might consider deploying some status routines to notify them automatically in advance of this. I'm sure there are status routines available. This issue, has popped up frequently enough to suggest a bit of proactive handling.. |

That's been in place for years, but the server software doesn't always co-operate. I'll inform them again. Backups: Here |

Les, it seems that when the drives run out of disk space, either the watch bot has failed or the watchers were perhaps watching something else. I can understand it, as these servers it seems are one of the admins, 'oh by the way, would you take care of the Climate folks servers in addition to your full time job' sort of things. It isn't that big a deal for me -- when the 'out of disk space' message first popped for me on a Climate upload, on the Saturday, I readily suspended all Climate processing that I have going. I figured, based on history here for the project, it might take days to perhaps a week or more before it got properly sorted out. |

It's been over a week. Is anything happening? I have at least 200MB queued up over a low-upstream connection, so it'll help to get this up before the queue balloons. One of my models hasn't been able to trickle at all yet. |

Lots of people with lots of zips waiting. The project people don't get paid to work weekends. Patience is the only answer. Backups: Here |
