Hello,

One of my tasks has been stuck at 100% for a long time. It says that it's "Running, high priority" but the progress bar says "100.000%", so it should be ready to report/transfer. Instead, it just sits there "running". I asked for help at the main BOINC forums, but they said that it was probably a problem specific to CPDN (climateprediction.net), so I came here.

Any ideas what may be wrong or what I can do to fix it? I use BOINC for Linux v7.0.65. I've submitted a successful CPDN task in the past, and the tasks for another project (SETI) seem to work fine at the moment. But this one is still stuck at 100%.

Thanks,

Treesong

Looks like the final trickle was sent up on May 22nd. If you haven't tried stopped and restarting boinc and rebooting your PC, do that. Sometimes that will clear the problem.

If that doesn't do it, you will have to abort it. All the trickles and uploads should have been sent, it just is confused as to whether it is done.

Yes, I've tried stopping BOINC and rebooting my PC. I'll try one more time to be sure, but if that doesn't work, I'll go ahead and abort it. Thanks!

These model types have a few failure modes around the end of the specified run time.
After the last zip and trickle are created, they run for another couple of days to avoid "edge effects", then stop. Or at least they're supposed to.
But a few just keep running, repeating the same time steps over and over. Yours has been doing this since the 22 May. If you look at the info in the bottom left corner of the "Show graphics" image, you'll be able to see this repeating, although you may have to watch it for a while.

The only cure known to medical science at present is to take it out the back and shoot it.
