The "what" of climate change denialism has long descended into clownish comedy, unworthy of effort. The "why" remains interesting, presumably making and linking each more ridiculous "what". And if there were any hope of changing some minds then it wouldn't be by whacking each what-a-mole as it pops up leering at us, it'll be by figuring out why people take up and pass on this junk. Courtesy of the jaunty Ian McMillan of Radio 3's The Verb, the book Engaging with Climate Change puts denialism on the psychoanalytic couch. Sally Weintrobe organises the questioning - and not a moment too soon. |

Might well get this - I spent many years in the psychotherapy field. Another book worth getting is http://copac.ac.uk/search?isn=%209781577319726&rn=1 Active hope : how to face the mess we're in without going crazy / Joanna Macy & Chris Johnstone. I also know many people who have been to her workshops and rate them highly. |
