Yes, everything is good now. The model that was waiting to report for the last 4 days is finally gone and I downloaded a new CM. What happened? Was this a planned outage or did something just break? If it was planned some warning would have been nice. I do miss the alternative boards at time like this. |

With the retirement of the PHP board, probably the best place to go for information when climateapps2 is down is the BOINC forum, specifically: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_forum.php?id=11. Mo.v posted there recently and attributed the recent outage to a hard disk failure. |

Yeah, it wasn't a planned downtime. As Mo said in the other post (linked above), there was a problem with a RAID array. Jonathan said that it had to be rebuilt twice (once to replace the failed drive, and then again to proactively replace a second drive which was suspect). I'm a volunteer and my views are my own.
