Great work guys. I have been able to download 5 new WUs. my machine Cores are full again. One small caveat. The server status page is still not visible. It is nice to know when more work is available for download. |

If it's "not visible", that may mean that you need to edit the url in your browser, to change the 'oucs' to 'oerc'. Or perhaps simpler, use the link to the left, and then re-bookmark it. |

Great work guys. I have been able to download 5 new WUs. my machine Cores are full again. One small caveat. The server status page is still not visible. It is nice to know when more work is available for download. Yes, I have been able to download one work unit on each of my two computers, but they have been stuck in "Transfer" for more than 12 hours now. "Retry" shows anywhere from 10 minutes to more than 2 hours. Should I go back into patience mode? |

Strangely, although mine says oerc, it is not visible. My other computer sees System Status just fine! However, that computer has not been able to get new tasks. I also notice that my credit is still stuck at the readings when the old server went down. I guess time will take care of that! |

... My guess is that because everyone has 12 days of uploads to transfer, it has temporarily flooded the bandwidth to the servers. (I have not yet been home to see if my PC also has a backlog of things to upload, but I suspect it does). PS ... if anyone has bookmarked the old server status page / forums etc, you will need to update your bookmarks because the address climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk has changed to climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk. Strangely, although mine says oerc, it is not visible. My other computer sees System Status just fine! However, that computer has not been able to get new tasks. This struck me as suspicious. Server status showed blank when I clicked link on the left. I tried pasting the link into another browser on this machine and it worked. I then returned to firefox, clicked, <Reload Current Page> Then worked fine. Possible the code that tells the browser that the page has been updated since last viewed not present or working? Someone who knows more about HTML than myself can probably formulate the reason better than I can. |

That can only be fixed on the browser-side, not the server side. The temporary (blank) page is in the browser cache (without an 'expires'-header) & hence the browser will keep hold of it until it gets bored or the user refreshes. Nothing on the server side can prompt the browser to reload the page if the original cached copy did not have an expiry hint. http://gtmetrix.com/add-expires-headers.html I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. Just looking at the server status page. It is so nice to see all the servers are green again. Lets hope that with the new server in place that this is the last of the problems for a while. Now if they would just drop a large number of WUs into the hopper we would be all set. More hadam3ps would be very nice, and what ever happened the hadam3p_anz's. I dont think I have run one of those since the last ice age. |

Yes a "reload" of the page made it visible. Thanks for the hint! |

Re stuck downloads: Some of the programs still had the old url, which were all fixed soon after it was reported. This should have allowed transfers to proceed. |

I am still unable to report my completed task that has been stuck in my queue for a week or so now, all I get is "Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site". I thought the servers were back up and the issues have been fixed. :o - Frederik |

The servers are supposedly up and running, so perhaps you have a new/different problem. There's only one model listed as still running on your computer, and that's only showing 4 trickles, so there's 36 more to go. Are you sure that all of the trickle_up files have been sent, or are they still on your computer? (The default location will be: BOINC\projects\climateprediction.net) If they're still there, have you tried: Suspend BOINC Exit from BOINC Re-boot computer Re-start BOINC |

I've just allowed one of my computers to return some trickle_up files, and this succeeded, so it's most likely something local to your computer/ISP network. |

I have run several models while it all was down but there is no trickels listed. Are the just piling up or is it something om my PC's then? Steinar |

My trickles and zips for a model that I was running during the down time uploaded after the servers came back up. I just now tried a trickle_up that I had for a new model, and it uploaded OK. And it's on the server. The credits program doesn't seem to be running though. |
